Open issues:
- How do we use the bond types - p or O? Is the O only used if the position of the alkyl is clear or when no alkenyl is present (position unknown)?
Harald: I would use 'a' when the FA position is unknown and also when the FA position is known but the double bond position is still unknown. This reflects then alkanyl and also alk-1-enyl (plasmalogen). I would use the terms 'p' and 'O' only when we really know whether there is a vinylic double bond or not.
- e = tetra necessary for a tetra-alkyl CL?
Harald: I think it is good to have this rule to be prepared just in case it happens.
- Stereo-nomenclature for CL?
- Positions in BMP? Only sn1 possible?
- PIPs correct?
- Nomenclature of Glycosylceramides?
